One hostel chain that isn't mentioned in this brief list is the chain called HI (Hostelling International). They are the main hostel chain that operates in the United States and have locations in most major cities. Hostels are not as common in the US as they are in many other popular tourist countries and the standard of them is not as high as you might expect. However, HI is a chain that offers good hostel accommodation for reasonably affordable prices in good locations.
